Zukunft mit Zukunft
Fahrrad – Erzählwerkstatt und Interventionen entlang der Linie 120
The artists dock on the waiting areas of the public space and invite you to join in and help shape a Zukunft mit Zukunft. The Futurebikestop with Jan Phillip Ley turns the center of Mattsee into a temporary meeting point for cyclists and a starting point for telling and listening to inspiring and informative stories about sustainability in Flachgau. Starting from Mattsee, Stephanie Müller and Klaus Erika Dietl transform bus stops along line 120 into research cabins, miniature greenhouses, workshops, performance stages and more, and thus collect stories and ideas for a future with a future.
Zukunft miz Zukunft is a cooperation with the project “Spaces of Cultural Democracy” (Science & Art / Salzburg Museum).
TERMINE
Jan-Phillip Ley:
Thu, May 20th – Sat, May 22rd 2021
02:00 p.m. – 07:00 p.m.
ARTISTS
Jan Phillip Ley (AT)
Stephanie Müller and Klaus Erika Dietl (DE)
Klaus Erika Dietl and Stephanie Müller appreciate the splinters in the fabric and scratch at the concrete. What happens when we leave the waiting room and enter the space beyond, where “images by mistake” meet in the next level?
The MEDIENDIENST LEISTUNGSHÖLLE is the duo’s Munich base. In exchange with other artist colleagues, scientists and social projects, the two work at the interface between artistic research and practice. The MEDIENDIENST LEISTUNGSHÖLLE sees itself as a nomadic playground and workshop. Objects and installations become playable attack surfaces. Sometimes they appear in filmic works, then they become performative props in public space.
Dietl and Müller have been active in Munich’s subculture for many years. They also show their performances and mixed media projects in institutions such as the documenta Halle, the Staatstheater Darmstadt, the Schirn in Frankfurt and the Berlin Akademie der Künste. At SUPERGAU, Klaus Erika and Stephanie transform the bus stops along line 120. The waiting area becomes a laboratory, a recycling workshop, a tea room.
Resident: OTELO Mattsee – Offenes Technologielabor
ADDRESS / LOCATION
Line 120, Mattsee Ortsmitte stop
