Exhausted and out of breath from the events of the last few years, “Vocal Naps” take the challenge of lying down and yodeling in slow motion to the extreme. They invite passers-by and the local brass bands to perform their tunes together while lying down. A culture clash comedy par excellence and yet one thing above all: the search for connection and deceleration. It resonates, hopes, wishes and dreams. Give Sleep a Chance!

***Welcome musicians welcome! Interested brass players please contact anmeldung@supergau.org. Spontaneous is otherwise also possible! Meeting point for musicians: 2 p.m. at the Tamsweg market square. After the performance, all participating musicians will be invited to the Kunsthalle Tamsweg for snacks and drinks. Dress code: Traditional costume (of the band, if you like!) would be particularly nice, otherwise pajamas (white or pastel), or do you have your instrument with you and just be there? – Come as you are! So that we can all lie snuggly: If you can, please bring a blanket and pillow (white if possible) – and of course your brass with lyre and sheet music! With the notes in the sheet music (download possible below), the process should actually be so clear that you can take part in the performance even without a rehearsal. The notes are also laid out in such a way that they can easily be clamped into the lyre. Nevertheless, we are happy to draw attention to our free workshop program, for example on June 2nd. (see above).

ARTISTS

Vocal Naps Lungengau: Anne Glassner, Nicole Krenn & Mona Rabofsky

Led by the artist trio Glassner, Krenn & Rabofsky, Vocal Naps is developing as a format in which the participants enter into various connections with vocal experiments, mostly based on yodelling, as part of performances in unusual locations. In dealing with the performance environment, site-specific sound installations with a performative character emerge. The dramaturgical plot is reduced to a minimum, and the audience’s freedom of interpretation is maximized.
