Sirrende Mücken im surrenden Licht
Audio walk at the Wolfgangsee
With Sirrende Mücken im surrenden Licht, Flora Schausberger invites the participants to an audio walk through Strobl. The visitors are asked to take detours, fill in gaps and fill spaces in between. With keen eyes and sensitized ears, attention is drawn to details of the village topography, which are drowned in the flood of everyday life. The audio walk provides the impetus for an unfamiliar examination of one’s own environment, its future, present and past.

Then I realised afterwards that mosquitoes are not attracted by the light at all, rather beetles and moths… (laughs) But that doesn’t really matter! I found it funny that not everything is true. And there is also the whirring light of the headlights in the title.” […]
