DIE ANHÖRUNG / naturalis_persona
Pinzgauer Naturtribunal
In the performance DIE ANHÖRUNG / naturalis_persona, nature in Pinzgau appears before a tribunal as a legal entity and demands its right to species protection and survival. Individual natural legal subjects such as the moor, the forest and the river have their say and sound in the hearing – supported by the performers and local musicians – and express their displeasure at a new amendment to the law by the Salzburg state government that threatens to massively restrict nature conservation. The hearing focuses on the tense relationship between natural growth limits and the needs of the local population: does a (possible) legal sovereignty of natural units protect or destroy the livelihood of the Pinzgau population?
